The Bathgate Band (SC035364) has been making music and supporting the local and wider communities of Scotland at civic events since 1842. Made up of all amateur players, we have 3 bands that cover a wide range of music playing skills from beginners to the more experienced that have been playing for several decades.

The band provide free tuition for adults and children (who maybe can't afford to pay for the school tuition) as well as free instrument loan where needed.

As a community band we play at local events such as care homes, local parades, Remembrance Day ceremonies and concerts etc. with our Senior Band also contesting at a high standard.

Currently we are raising money to attend the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.

We are 341 miles away from the venue (Cheltenham Racecourse), and it's costing a lot to get us all there to compete.
