Our first back to school virtual balloon race in September was so popular (and a year 7 family won the national first prize of £500!) we thought we would do the Christmas Shopping Race. Star Prizes (for all charities joining in this national race): 1st - £500 cash prize 2nd - iPad and then 10 x £10 book tokens. If you don't win a national prize you still have the opportunity to win as The Friends of Farnborough Hill will be giving a £50 Amazon voucher to the Farnborough Hill balloon that's first across the finish line, £25 Amazon voucher for 2nd place and £10 Amazon voucher for the 3rd Farnborough Hill balloon. Follow the link below to buy as many balloons as you like. Each balloon costs £3. You can name and customise every balloon you buy. You can also alter your balloon’s parameters at any time to increase your chance of winning. As soon as the race goes live you can watch on Google Maps as they all leave Harrods on their Christmas Shopping race - who knows they may even fly over Farnborough Hill! The 7-day computer simulation race starts on 1st December at midday. The software uses current live weather data to determine the progress of each virtual balloon. You can buy as many balloons as you want to increase your chances of winning! Every balloon you buy will make a difference! We will update the leader board as the race goes on. Remember - we won the top national prize of £500 - so it's definitely achievable! Due to Covid-19 we sadly had to cancel all the events that were planned for the end of the school year 2019-20 and are not yet able to run any events at the school at the moment. Whilst we fully appreciate and understand that this is a very difficult time for many, we do hope you will join in to help us to fundraise virtually. Please do share details about this event and encourage family and friends to also purchase a balloon. The money raised by The Friends is used to enhance the student’s enjoyment of being at Farnborough Hill. Our target is to sell 200 balloons - please help us achieve this! Good luck everyone!
