About the event

This eco-friendly virtual balloon race will launch on Coronation Day Wednesday 2 June 2021 from Westminster Abbey at 12noon, and takes place over the course of 7 days. It’s an internet-based, virtual balloon race that uses real weather data and Google maps for 24/7 real-time flight path tracking so you can track your personalised balloon(s) as they travel and we love that no animals, wildlife or the environment will be harmed and great fun awaits!

You can buy, design and customise as many balloons as you wish - deciding on shape, colour, name and how much air to fill your balloon(s) with and your balloon(s) will be automatically entered into the race. Each computer-generated balloon costs £3.

When the race launches you will be able to keep track of your personalised balloon(s) via this platform using Google maps as it travels. Money raised from balloon purchases will go to the Brooke. Brooke is an international charity that protects and improves the lives of horses, donkeys and mules which give people in the developing world the opportunity to work their way out of poverty.

Please feel free to purchase as many balloons as you like! Any contribution you make will make a lasting change to working horses, donkeys and mules and the people who depend on them for their livelihood. Thank You.

Prize Details

Not only are you helping a great cause, you are also in with a chance of winning some great prizes in the main virtual balloon race, and additional prizes if you enter via this page, supporting Brooke in North Yorkshire.

The more balloons you buy the greater the chance of winning!
