As we can't hold our usual summer event to raise funds for school, let's have some fun and raise money by racing virtual balloons instead! All funds raised will go towards enhancing children's learning through the provision of resources or experiences that may not otherwise be possible through school funds alone. We have the following great prizes: 1st: £100, 2nd: £25, 3rd: £25. Plus, there are prizes for the winners of the race nationally too (£500 cash, an Apple iPad and book tokens), so you have multiple chances of winning!
The balloons will set off from the Sahara desert at 12pm on Saturday August 8th. The race runs for 7 days and it is a computer simulation using real weather data, so everything is real except the balloons. Much better for the environment!
You can buy a virtual balloon for just £3 and you can give it a name, decorate it and customise it to give it the best chance of winning. You can access your account and change your balloon settings at any time before the race starts. The balloons will be tracked during the race so you can see how yours is doing. You can buy as many balloons as you wish and you can spread the word to persuade friends and family members to buy balloons of their own.
