Get ready to take part in a (100% environmentally friendly) Virtual Balloon Race across the Sahara Desert to raise money for the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas Book Appeal 2020. My aim is to provide the Mission Christmas Appeal with books to give to local children as Christmas gifts. Apologies for using the C word in July but I think this is going to be a tougher Christmas than usual for so many families. For every £10 donated to this appeal Usborne Books at Home will donate an extra £6 of books too! Balloons cost only £3 and can be personalised to your taste! Add colour, patterns, change the shape and thickness, and even add a special message or name too! Watch your balloon fly virtually through the air from the safety of your own home and be in with a chance of winning £500 & lots of other prizes too.
The race starts on the 8th of August and takes place over seven days. It uses real-time weather updates to affect the course and you can follow your balloon wherever it goes via Google Maps.
