Over the last few months of the pandemic lockdown, Winslow and the surrounding villages have suffered like a lot of local communities. Winslow Rotary has been supporting them in several ways including a foodbank, helping to provide communications for the elderly to ease their isolation and some toys and games for the younger children. Our initiatives have helped to support all aspects of life in these troubled times. Despite the restrictions placed on us all, we are trying to raise funds to support these local activities, but it has been difficult and a number of our usual events have had to be cancelled. We hope to run a "lend a hand" day later in the year and also distribute some hampers to the elderly. It is feared that as the furlough scheme is withdrawn, more and more families and individuals will require our help and support.
