Sadly, due to the current situation, we've not been able to hold any events to raise money for our wonderful school this year. We had lots of fun things planned, not least our Summer and Christmas Fairs. The school relies so heavily on these additional funds to enrich every child's time at Rownhams St John's Primary School.

So, to try to fill the gap, we’ve turned to raising money online and this is where you can help, by taking part in our Virtual Balloon Race.

Setting off from Dracula's Castle on 31st October, it's a seven-day computer simulation race where everything is real except the balloon.

You can buy a virtual balloon for just £3 and give it a name, colour, shape and pattern.

The software designed to run the race uses live weather data to determine the progress of each balloon and each entry can be tracked on Google Maps and Satellites once launched.

You can alter your balloon’s parameters at any time to increase your chance of winning.

Each balloon costs just £3 and you can buy as many balloons as you want to increase your chances of winning. Every balloon really will make a difference.
