The Parents and Friends Association of Heptonstall School exist in order to raise funds to support the school as well as to bring together the school community by creating memorable experiences such as our annual Halloween disco. However, the current Covid-19 restrictions have meant we have had to cancel all of our upcoming events for the rest of the year which in turn has a huge impact on our ability to support our lovely village school. Thus we have decided to try an event that is not only fun for our children to join but can also be accessed from the safety of their classrooms or homes as well as raising much needed funds.
You can buy a virtual balloon below for just £3 each which will be entered into a national race. You’ll get a chance to personalise the balloons by changing the colour, shape, pattern and the amount of helium it has in it as well as being able to give it a name. These parameters can be altered at any time during the race in order to increase your chances of winning. Why not buy one for all the family and see who wins?
The race starts at 9am on 31st October from Dracula's Castle in Romania and lasts for 7 days. The software that runs the race uses live weather data such as wind speed and direction as well as the design of your balloon in order to determine the progress of each balloon. Balloons can be tracked via Google maps on the website 24 hours a day. By the end of the race your balloon could end up anywhere in the world!

Additionally, we will also be providing an extra prize for the balloon supporting our cause that travels the farthest. So, multiple chances of winning!
