To provide many of the activities for our beavers,cubs and scouts to enjoy and personally develop, we rely on fund-raising. However, due to the pandemic we haven't been able to do any of our normal fundraising activities such as Bag-packing at the Supermarket, Annual Firework Displays and Quiz and Chip nights. Like everyone we are having to find new ways to fund-raise. Therefore, to help provide a programme of activities within the weekly meetings for each section and to raise funds towards camping weekends, district events and national jamborees...when restrictions allow...we are intending to participate in a virtual balloon race.

On Coronation Day (June 2nd) we are joining forces with other charities to raise much-needed funds and we are inviting you and your families and friends to join us. By participating, not only will you get the chance of winning (......prizes to be confirmed .........)

The race starts at noon on June 2nd from and runs for 7 days. The virtual balloon that "travels" the furthest wins! Virtual balloons can be purchased for £3 each from now until the start date by clicking on the Blue "Buy Balloons" Ribbon below

When designing your virtual balloon take extra care to choose the right materials and configuration as this will help or hinder your chances of winning the race, and there is also a small matter of real-time weather to be taken into consideration. How about adding a special message to your loved one? You could buy numerous and race against family and friends
