Our first virtual back to school race in September 2020 was so popular we thought we should kick off this new school year with another virtual race for September 2021.

Star Prizes (for all charities joining in this national race):
1st - £500 cash prize
2nd - iPad
And 10 x £10 book tokens

If you don't win a national prize you still have the opportunity to win as The Salesian College PTA will be giving £50 Amazon voucher to the first Salesian balloon across the finish line, £25 Amazon voucher for 2nd place and £10 Amazon voucher for the 3rd Salesian balloon.

Follow the link below to buy as many balloons as you like. Each balloon costs £3. You can name and customise every balloon you buy. You can also alter your balloon’s parameters at any time to increase your chance of winning.
As soon as the race goes live you can watch on Google Maps as they all leave Everest Base Camp, Nepal. The 7-day computer simulation race starts on Tuesday 14th September at midday. The software uses current live weather data to determine the progress of each virtual balloon. You can buy as many balloons as you want to increase your chances of winning! Every balloon you buy will make a difference! We will update the leader board as the race goes on. Back in September 2020 one of the new year 7 students at Farnborough Hill won the top national prize of £500 - so it's definitely achievable! Fingers crossed a Salesian College family is first across the line this time!

Due to Covid-19 we sadly had to cancel all the PTA events that were planned for the end of the school year 2019-20 and are still not yet able to run events at the school at the moment. Whilst we fully appreciate and understand that it has been a very difficult time for many, we do hope you will join in to help us to fundraise virtually - who knows - maybe Salesian College will scoop the top prize this time!

All the money raised by the Salesian College PTA is used to enhance the student’s enjoyment of being at the college.
