Animals in Distress is an independent local charity in South Devon providing love, care and support to animals who have been rescued and we are proud to have been part of the South Devon community for nearly 40 years. With dedication and compassion, when pets lose their homes we are there to pick up the pieces and give them the life they deserve.

We rely solely on the income from our shops, rescue centre and generous supporters to enable us to feed and care for hundreds of unwanted and homeless animals every year.

That is why we are launching our first ever virtual balloon race to keep you entertained and to ensure that we can continue to look after the animals that so desperately need our help.

Join our virtual balloon race on Tuesday 2nd June 2020 and compete against your family and friends to see whose balloon goes the furthest!

Tickets are available until Tuesday 2nd June 2020 (up to 30 minutes before race launch) as the balloon race sets off from Westminster Abbey. You can follow your balloon for 7 days on it's journey using Google Maps. Each balloon is subject to a simulated flight pattern based on the actual weather conditions such as the wind speed and current temperature.

Balloons are £3 each and you can buy as many balloons as you like. You can personalise your balloon by decorating it and adding a name, this could be you, a loved one or even your pet!
