I have been selected to attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree in Saemangeum, Korea in the summer of 2023. This is a huge gathering of Scouts from all across the world which occurs every 4 years and has thousands of young people and leaders attending. Going to this event will be an amazing experience for me as it will allow me to meet new people, and share cultures with others from all across the globe. It will also force me to step out of my comfort zone and develop as a person, with plenty of challenges for me to rise to and overcome. The benefits are also not limited to myself, as I plan to share my experience and story with my local Beaver group that I volunteer at, to inspire another generation to do all they can to succeed. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I do have to raise a large amount of money however to attend with the cost exceeding £3500 so I would be extremely grateful for any help that can be given.
