Thank you for joining the MBF Festival Essex 2030 - Virtual Balloon Race Easter 2023 which starts at 12.00pm (Noon) from Quito, Ecuador for 7 days on Sunday 9th April 2023. The balloons that travel the greatest distance in 7 days win our great prizes below and a chance for a national prize!

The aim is to raise funds in support of the MBF Festival Essex 2030.

Funds raised will go directly to the Mark Benevolent Fund (Reg. Charity No. 207610) which was founded in 1868 and is the official charity of the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons, who over the past few years have supported worthy causes such as :-

- £1.6m to the R.N.L.I. to help fund a new lifeboat,
- £2.6m to Hope for Tomorrow Cancer Charity for mobile chemotherapy units throughout the U.K.,
- £1,268,000 awarded to Hospices throughout England & Wales in memory of HRH Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh, of which £48,000 was shared across hospices in Essex,
- £100,000 to the Addenbrookes Charitable Trust to purchase a new surgical robot, costing £1.5m, to transform complex surgeries and enable patients to recover from surgery within weeks,
- £29,600 to Clowns in the Sky for 74 arts, crafts and sensory trolleys in the wards of 43 hospitals across England and Wales,
- £25,000 Lennox Children's Cancer Fund to provide therapy 'Treasure Boxes' alongside professional counselling to a child and their family,
- and The Ukraine Disaster Fund together with many other smaller charities locally.

The Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Essex in support of the Mark Benevolent Fund Festival Essex 2030 is an opportunity for Essex Mark Master Masons, supporters, families and friends to join in the spirit of giving and mutual support.
