Rams in Kenya is an annual trip to the schools in the slums of Nakuru, Kenya, which invites Derby County fans, Derby County Community Trust supporters or simply anyone with an interest to take on the trip of a lifetime and improve life for children in the project’s five partner schools. We work in these five partner schools to improve sanitation, build new classrooms/facilities and increase safety measures. We also support teaching and physical activity within the schools. The schools provide a safe haven for many of the children together with 2 meals every day - for some children this might be the only food they receive. We are raising, via Cherish the Children, money to support the feeding programme over the Christmas period, when there is no school to feed them, this is a particularly difficult time for children whose families live on the Hilton rubbish dump in Nakuru - the poorest of the poor.FB Cherish the
