Hi everyone,
I'm Skye, and I've been a part of Girl Guiding for almost ten years, recently achieving my Girl Guiding Gold Award.
Eighteen months ago, I attended a local Girl Guiding selection day for an international trip. Unfortunately, I wasn't successful. However, determined to try again, I applied last spring. This time, I was thrilled to be selected and put forward to the UK South West Girl Guiding (SWE) selection weekend. After the second weekend, I was overjoyed to be chosen out of 70 girls for a SWE Girlguiding & Venture Force international trip to Gambia in August 2025.
I am now raising as much money as possible to help fund my trip this summer. This trip is a huge opportunity for personal development and cultural experience, along with the challenges of being away from home for two weeks. While in Gambia, I will volunteer on community and conservation projects, fully immersing myself in their culture.
I would be incredibly grateful if you could join the balloon race and purchase a balloon or two. It costs £3 per balloon (you can design your own balloon) and you could be in with a chance of winning £100. All money raised will go towards my trip. Thank you very much for your support.
