Welcome to our very first Friends of Hazlemere C of E School Virtual Balloon Race!

This year, the Friends of Hazlemere C of E School will be raising money to help provide a much-needed new roof for our school.

We would love you to take part in our balloon race fundraiser! It’s a virtual, seven-day race around the world so it’s completely environmentally friendly, with no risk to wildlife!

This race is open for any charity and their supporters to take part and the Star Prizes up for grabs are:
1st - £500
2nd – iPad
3rd – 10 x £10 book tokens.

In addition to this, the Friends of Hazlemere C of E will be offering the following prizes for the balloons, bought by those supporting us, that go the furthest:

1st prize - An Echo Dot (3rd gen) Smart Speaker with Alexa
2ndprize - £10 Amazon voucher
3rd prize - A box of chocolates

So, how do you get involved?

Each balloon costs £3. Click on the blue bar below to buy as many balloons as you like. There’s no limit, the more balloons you buy, the greater your chance of winning one of these fantastic prizes.

How does it work?

Buy your balloon or balloons by FRIDAY 30th OCTOBER 2020.

Once you’ve bought your balloons you can name and customise them.

The computer software uses current live weather data to determine the progress of each virtual balloon, so up to the start of the race you can change elements of your balloon to potentially increase your chance of winning.

Get involved with the thrill of the race as you log on and track your balloon’s movement daily.

Share with friends and family so that they can race along with you.

The 7-day simulation race will go live at 9am on SATURDAY 31st OCTOBER 2020 you can watch on Google maps as they take off and fly to wherever the current weather conditions take them!

Due to COVID – 19 we sadly can’t run all the events that would normally be taking place at this this time of year. So, we do hope you and your family will join in this great virtual event to help our fundraising get off to a great start for the new school year.
