Ataxia Telangiectasia or AT is a genetic neuro degenerative condition, which causes increasingly severe disability and premature death. The condition also affects the immune system, leading to frequent chest and lung infections and a higher risk of leukaemia and other cancers. Currently there is no cure, and children with AT are unlikely to live beyond their mid twenties. The AT Society exists to enable people with AT to make the most of the lives they have. We are unique in that we both support people with AT and fund research.
