We are in the process of creating a community memorial garden at the Nordelph Village Hall and we require funds to enable a disabled access to the garden. Our group CALM - Coping and Living with Miscarriage will be using the garden post Covid to hold monthly baby loss support meetings and the garden will be accessible for all during other times. This will be a place to come and reflect, watch nature and remember loved ones who may not be with us anymore. The money raised will go towards a disabled access and other supplies needed to finish the garden, including plants and benches.

Each balloon costs £3 and can be personalised! The race will take place on Christmas Day and the prizes are as follows:

1st prize: £500 Cash
2nd prize: Apple iPad
Runner up prizes: 10 lucky winners of £10 Book Tokens

All races are 7 days in duration and the winning balloon is the one that has flown the furthest, as measured in a straight line from the launch location. Note that a popped / burst balloon can still win if the wind direction changes and sends the still-flying balloons backwards in a reverse direction.

The winner will be emailed with confirmation that they have won the race and with details of how to contact the organiser to arrange receiving their prize. To further comply with Gambling Commission and equality rules, winner will be asked a difficult question not readily ‘Googled'. One prize only per contestant.

The world’s only virtual balloon race system, developed by Purepages Group in Manchester, offers a 100% eco-friendly way to raise money during the current Coronavirus lockdown. Mike Phillips, Managing Director of Ecoracing.co, explained, “It’s a seven-day computer simulation race where everything is real except the balloon. The software uses current live weather data to determine the progress of each balloon and each entry can be tracked on Google Maps and Satellites once launched. It has no negative environmental impact on all wildlife, climate change, plastic waste or litter.”
