Who we are and why we are raising money:
Ysgol Bro Famau PTFA are using the Easter balloon race as an ecofriendly way to help fundraise towards buying new iPads for the children to use in school for their learning. Unfortunately laptops and iPads don't last forever and replacing them needs to be fully paid for by PTFA funds. This year, like many other groups, we haven't had the opportunity to do our usual fundraising activities and are hoping that our supporters will buy plenty of balloons and also enjoy watching how far their virtual balloons are progressing during the race, or even win one of the prizes!

What you need to do:
1. Register/login so that you can be contacted if you win a prize
2. Buy a balloon (or several balloons) through our page (only £3 each)
3. Choose a shape, design, and colour for your balloon and choose what helium content and thickness may get your balloon to travel the furthest. This can be modified as many times as you change your mind before the race.
4. Watch the race start on Easter Sunday at 12
5. Login to track your balloons on their journey and see if any are in a winning position as many times as you want over the 7 days
6. Login to check if you are a winner at the end of the race

How it works:
The site uses real weather patterns to predict where your balloon will travel. Some balloons may pop if they travel too low and pop on a building or may burst if they travel too high in high winds. Can you get the balance right for the weather conditions to get your balloon to travel the fastest without popping? Why not buy more than one to try out different combinations and in case one pops!

Prizes:
1st: £500
2nd: Apple iPad
3rd: 10 x £10 book vouchers
Ysgol Bro Famau PTFA will also award a £10 cash prize to the balloon that travels the furthest out of those balloons bought through our page. You will need to tick that you are happy for your details to be passed to us so that we can contact you if you win.
