We are the Parents Association for Wheelwright Lane Primary School in Coventry.

It's been a tough year for the School and they need our help! We are hoping to help replenish essential equipment, books and instruments and to provide more IT resources for the School. We also hope to be able to continue providing contributions to trips and events that make the learning environment for the children that little bit more special.

In these challenging times, we have not been able to run our usual calendar of PA Events. Unfortunately, this means that we currently have much less in our available reserves than planned. To enable us to continue to support the school and its activities, your support is needed and appreciated now, more than ever!

We are taking part in a Virtual Balloon Race on Coronation Day to raise funds for Wheelwright Lane Primary School and we would love you to join us!

The Coronation Race launches from Westminster Abbey on 2nd June 2021 (so be sure to buy your ticket/s before this date.)

The Virtual Balloon Race is environmentally friendly and fun! It uses real-time weather data, such as prevailing wind speed and direction and current temperature, to calculate balloon positions and you can see the race unfold on Google Maps! Watch it live at any time! The race duration is 7 Days.

After you have purchased your balloon, from your dashboard you can ‘customise’ each balloon by changing various flight parameters - balloon helium contents (1 - 5 litres of gas) ; shape and thickness of rubber. Reflecting real life, virtual balloons just like latex ones, can pop if the balloon parameters are not suited to the weather. For example, maximising helium content, having the fastest shape and thinnest rubber during stormy weather is not advisable. So, looking at the predicted weather for your race period prior to customisation helps your chances of winning!

Prizes for furthest balloons in the whole race are:

1) £500 Cash

3) 10 lucky winners of £10 Book Tokens
