Cottenham Primary School PTCA is a very active body who represent every family whose child attends our school. Our main aims are to enhance the educational experience of every child and also support the staff by giving time or funds if requested. With so many events cancelled this year, like so many other charities, fundraising opportunities are limited so here we have a virtual way to support our fantastic PTCA, especially with the absence of a summer fair this year.

We are very proud to announce our 'School’s Out' virtual balloon race!

Just buy a balloon then follow it from its release in Manaus, Brazil at 12pm on Saturday 17th July as it is buffeted by real-world weather patterns in a virtual, computer simulated, eco-friendly race. Whose balloon will go the furthest? Who will be the winner in your family? You can track your balloon via your account at any time during the race. It finishes on Saturday 24th July at 12pm.

Taking part is really straightforward:

1. Click on the blue 'buy balloons' bar below - you'll need your card details.
2. Create an account (it's easy and required to send you your potential winnings) and track your balloon.
3. Buy a balloon for just £3 in the 'Schools Out' race for 'Cottenham Primary School Parent and Teachers Community Association’ These are the default details if you click through from this site.
4. Design your balloon - you can personalise and decorate it!
5. Login to your account to see your balloon start or follow its progress during the 7 day race to see if you win!

Alternatively, you can buy an activation code to gift to a friend or family member so they can create their own balloon.

We have the following fantastic prizes up for grabs through the PTCA for places achieved by balloons purchased just for our school. We will be sent the winners leaderboard.

1st place. Voucher for a hot air balloon ride for four through Virgin Balloon tours, kindly donated by Malary Ltd.
2nd place. A week of football camp with Football Fun Factory.
3rd place. A pair of Clip and Climb vouchers.
4th/5th place. A £20 Curry Palace voucher each.
6th place. Little Gym tickets.

In addition, the owners of the balloons that travel the furthest nationally (including all other charity organisations) will win through Ecoracing:

1st place. £500
2nd place. An Apple iPad
Ten runners up will also win a £10 book token.
