Every week in the UK 39 babies who were born alive, die before they are 1 month old.
Kit Tarka Foundation works to prevent newborn baby deaths; primarily through raising awareness of neonatal herpes, funding research and providing advice for healthcare professionals and the general public.
We are taking part in the Christmas Day Virtual Balloon Race! The race is a computer simulation race where everything is real except the balloon. It’s 100% eco-friendly with no risk of harm to wildlife.
HOW IT WORKS
*Just sign up and pay for your balloon, £3 each (you can buy as many as you like)
*You can then name, personalise, and decorate your balloon via your dashboard by choosing the shape, colour, and pattern, plus the helium content and rubber thickness.
*Take part from anywhere in the world on the comfort of your sofa :-)
*Christmas Day- Balloons 'released' virtually at 12pm (noon)
*Race runs for 7 days
*New years day- race finishes at 12pm (noon)
*Winners will then be contacted directly and announced on social media platforms within 5 working days.
PRIZES TO BE WON!
National prizes - for the top 12 balloons travelling the furthest from all charities in this race:
-1st prize - £500 cash
- 2nd prize - Apple iPad
- 10 x £10 national book tokens.
Kit Tarka Foundation prizes - for the top 3 KTF supporters' balloons travelling the furthest in this race:
- 1st prize - £100 John Lewis gift card
- 2nd prize - £50 John Lewis gift card
- 3rd prize - £25 John Lewis gift card
The funds you raise ensure we can continue to help prevent newborn baby deaths; primarily through raising awareness of neonatal herpes, funding research and providing advice for healthcare professionals and the general public.
