Phyllis Tuckwell continues to provide supportive and end of life care for patients and families across West Surrey and North East Hampshire, who are living with an advanced or terminal illness such as cancer.
Our medical and clinical staff maintain our 24-hour front line care throughout the pandemic, and are continuing to provide that care, ensuring that those who need our vital support can still access it. However, as we only usually receive 20% of our funding from the NHS/government, we have to raise over £25,000 a day to do this.
By entering a balloon into our virtual balloon race, you can help us provide this care. For example: For every four balloons we sell, it could pay for Christmas dinner with all the trimmings for a patient or visitor on our In-Patient Unit on Christmas day. Selling ten balloons could pay for one and a half hours counselling for a relative who is facing this Christmas without their loved one.
