FOPS Easter Balloon Race around Australia!

FOPS are continuing to raise money to directly benefit the children at Plymtree C of E Primary School. All money raised goes towards resources, experiences and the school environment. We anticipate that money raised this term will be going towards equipping the new outdoor classroom area, which school hopes to have in place by the summer term.

We hope that by participating in the Eco Balloon Race we are offering parents and carers an easy way to get involved with our fundraising. We previously joined a race in April 2021, which raised a good amount for the school and both children and adults enjoyed customising their balloons and following their journey over the course of the race.

Buy as many balloons as you like - you can even gift someone a balloon! Each balloon is £4.00 and FOPS will receive a percentage of the money raised. Login and customise your balloons. You can change the helium content and rubber thickness of your balloon to try and make yours more dynamic!

The race will start at 12pm on 17th April 2022 and will run for 7 days. The race starts from Alice Springs, Australia. Once the race has started you can login and see how your balloon is getting on - this works on real weather data and some balloons may burst or go off course along the way!

Eco Racing prizes are as follows:

1st - £500 Cash
2nd - Amazon Alexa / Echo Dot 4th Generation!
10 lucky winners of £10 Book Tokens

As this is a public race and any charity can sell balloons, we have decided to add our own FOPS prizes. The balloons bought via the FOPS cause page and coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd within our cause will each win an Easter-themed prize!
