Egerton CE Primary School are delighted to be raising money for The Big Cat Sanctuary. The charity was chosen by the school council and Morpurgo House are pleased to be championing this wonderful cause.

The Big Cat Sanctuary is a conservation charity in Kent dedicated to the conservation of wild cats. Founded in the year 2000, the Sanctuary is home to around 40 cats spanning 14 different species, 11 which are classed as more than vulnerable to the risk of extinction on the IUCN red list. They also offer sanctuary to retired cats as well as being a breeding centre of excellence.

Balloon EcoRacing is a new and exciting way to raise money. It is an eco-friendly virtual balloon race using real-time weather data. As the balloons are virtual, it is also better for the environment than releasing real balloons. Live weather data is used to fly your virtual balloon and you can improve your chances by altering your balloons’ flight parameters after checking the projected race weather. Once launched you can track your balloon 24/7 on Google Maps.
