Welcome to our Easter Race

Hillmead PTA are taking part in a Virtual Balloon Race during Easter to raise funds and would love you to join us!

This time the balloons are launching from Alice Springs Australia at 12pm on 17th April !! The race lasts for 7 days and the balloon that travels the furthest is the winner!

Please click below where you can buy a balloon for just £4! You can then decorate your balloon and choose other parameters such as size, shape, thickness and helium content (all of which have an impact on it’s journey) before the balloons are set free!

A little about us...

Hillmead PTA's main role is to raise money for all the additional extras that help make Hillmead such a great School for our children.

We are needing your support for the school, as we have had tough couple of years in fundraising and we want to provide the extra resources that make the learning environment for the children that little bit more special.

The Virtual Balloon Race is environmentally friendly and fun! It uses real-time weather data, such as prevailing wind speed and direction and current temperature, to calculate balloon positions and you can see the race unfold on Google Maps!
