In 2023 I will be representing the UK and attending the 25th World Scout Jamboree in Korea along with 40,000 other members of the Scout and Guide community. I have been involved in scouting for almost 10 years on an entirely voluntary basis and I am proud to be the Scout Leader for 49th Cardiff Scout Group.


My role at the jamboree will be as part of the volunteer team that makes up the International Service Team (IST), who work alongside the organisers to make the jamboree happen. They work alongside the organisers to ensure it is the best experience for the young people by setting up and running the activities, providing catering, service jobs on the campsite etc.


The World Scout Jamorees happen every 4 years and bring together members of the worldwide scouting community in the spirit of friendship, strength and togetherness. From the UK 1000 volunteers will be part of the International Service Team and I am proud to have been chosen to be among this number. Attendance at this fantastic camp does come with some cost and the fees for my attendance are approximately £3000. I am therefore fundraising towards the cost of my attendance on this amazing experience. All donations towards this whether big or small will be gratefully received.
