Friends of Thorpe Hall (FOTH) is a group of volunteers who organise events to bring the Thorpe Hall primary school community together. In doing so, we raise money to buy books and other equipment for the school.

On 2nd June 2022 we will be commemorating Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee and her incredible 70 years of service. To mark the occasion we will be joining forces with other charities by taking part in the Coronation Race - a virtual balloon race! The event is totally Covid-safe and eco-friendly as the event takes place entirely online.

The school community really enjoyed taking part in the race last year and we would love to beat the incredible £1000 we raised!

The race starts at 12pm on 2nd June and runs for 7 days. The virtual balloon that "travels" the furthest wins! Virtual balloons can be purchased for £4 each from now until the start date by clicking on the Blue "Buy Balloons" Ribbon below

By joining in the fun, you will be in with a chance of winning one of these top national prizes:

We have bought a balloon for every class in the school, and Providus Financial will donate £50 to the class whose balloon travels the furthest!

When designing your virtual balloon, take extra care to choose the right materials and configuration as these will help or hinder your chances of winning the race. Real-time weather may also affect your balloon’s journey.

Don’t forget to track your balloon's progress by logging into your Dashboard. Last year the balloons *virtually* flew over the school, which was very exciting!
