The 6th Form Biology group are currently fundraising to be able to participate in an overseas expedition in 2024. This will provide them with a once in a lifetime opportunity to carry out biological sampling in the tropical jungle and then in our oceans. They are running a range of fundraising activities and would be incredibly appreciative of your support in our virtual balloon race.

If your balloon travels furthest over the 7-day race, you will win £100.

Why a virtual balloon race?
As a group dedicated to the study of biology, it would be remiss to engage in a real balloon race as the impact of the popped balloons can be detrimental to wildlife. As we are all aware, plastic pollution is a massive issue faced by the planet and so we did not wish to add to it. The virtual balloon race will still have the element of the unpredictable as it uses weather data to plot the course of each balloon.
