To Help Raise Funds For Jayden to enable him to communicate with the outside world.

For those of you that don’t know Jayden is 7 years old and was born with severe complex needs, he has Cerebral Palsy (stage 5) and suffers with epilepsy which in 2022 put him in intensive care 5 times on a ventilator to stop his seizures. Jayden is non-mobile and non-verbal and is unable to communicate, he cannot control the movements of his own body and therefore he is unable to play with toys like a normal 7 year old or play games of any sort etc.

We are fundraising for a piece of equipment called an Eye Gaze which is a system in which Jayden can look at pictures on the screen and the screen will communicate this out. It is not an overnight process for Jayden to be able to use this for communicating straight away as it will take years of him learning to use it before he will be able to use it to its full potential hence why we want to start using this as soon as possible! The system also has games that Jayden can play using his eyes which also helps with his learning of how the system works.

This piece of equipment will be invaluable to Jayden’s communication as he gets older as at the moment he cannot even tell you that he is hungry, thirsty, in pain etc but with this he will eventually be able to do that!! Unfortunately this piece of equipment comes with a hefty price tag and therefore we are hoping to raise as much funds as we can over multiple events.
