There are more than 40,000 autistic adults and people with learning disabilities in Essex alone, and less than 10% receive regular support.

We’re raising money to help us keep our Community Services free to access so that our people can have the opportunity to learn, grow, connect and live the life they choose.

These services are free in order to help remove some of the barriers the people we support can face in accessing support, so fundraising like this helps us continue making these opportunities available across Essex.

Every balloon can genuinely make a difference in someone's life, and we appreciate every balloon bought, shared and gifted!

* £6 could help provide gardening supplies for someone to grow their own fruit and vegetables, helping them learn how to produce their own food and practise independent living.

* £12 could help cover the cost of an ASDAN Short Course book or learner registration, helping someone build practical skills and work towards a recognised qualification.

* £24 could help 4 people enjoy a game of mini golf, giving them the chance to try something new, make connections and have fun together.


MEET MATT
Matt used to feel stuck and unsure of his future. With support from Hamelin's free employment programme, he began studying cyber security, discovered his dream career, and found his voice to speak up for others along the way.

He said: “I honestly don’t think I would have found this path without them.”

His story became part of a national campaign, which was a powerful reminder that behind every funding decision are real people and real lives. Matt is proof that autistic people are not just recipients of support but voices for change.
