On 10th October it is World Mental Health Day. With youth mental health in crisis and large waiting lists at CAMHS (children and adolescent mental health services) being so long young people have to wait months before receiving vital support which makes life so challenging for them and their families. It leaves young people so vulnerable and feeling people do not care. At Spotlight UK we do care and we are looking for people who can help raise funds for our Youth Mentoring Team who go in to schools to provide 1-2-1 emotional support and trauma recovery toolkit for young people who are experiencing mental health issues, have experienced trauma including loss and separation, have experienced domestic violence, have a parent either who has mental health issues/drug or alcohol abuse or a parent in prison or absent from family home.
