The current pandemic is changing all of our lives but it is the most deprived communities in our region that will suffer the most.

Alongside this, we've had to cancel or postpone our usual fundraising events which has had an impact on our income. Without these regular fundraising events, Children North East have missed out on additional funds at a time when they are most needed.
So we're taking part in this virtual balloon race and would love you to join in. You can buy a virtual balloon, customise it and then race it for a chance to win prizes while raising money to support babies, children, young people and families across the North East.

Virtual balloons for the 'Halloween' race are just £3 each. You'll get a chance to personalise the balloons and then battle against other people to try and win the race. The balloons "launch" on 31 October from Dracula's Castle and the race lasts for 7 days. You can follow the race in real-time online and it is completely dictated by real life weather conditions!

As part of the race you'll have the chance to battle against 1000's of other entrants taking part in the same EcoRace for some amazing prizes:
