7th Woking (St Mary of Bethany) Scout Group fundraising for trip to Denmark

7th Woking Scouts are an adventurous troop! As well as taking part in local and national activities from night hikes to climbing Snowdon from first aid skills to building their own assault courses they just don’t stop.

In July 2023 40 Scouts, Explorers and leaders are going to Denmark.

Why - well to experience a summer camp with scouts from around the world, to try different foods, to push their comfort zones and of course to experience some Danish traditions.

To make the trip accessible to all they have set themselves the challenge of raising £8,000 to cover some of their costs. They have raised nearly half of this already.

We are hoping the balloon race will allow friends and family further afield to support our Scouts

Each balloon costs £3 and all profits raised will go towards the Denmark fundraising.

Purchasing a balloon for the non-scientist is simple, for the more scientifically minded you may want to investigate the rubber thickness, shape and helium content, all of which are important success factors.

To purchase a balloon via the blue button at the bottom of this page - keep scrolling down and you will find it - name and decorate your balloon in time for the race start and decide upon its helium content and rubber thickness.
