Lockdown has been difficult for our families and supporters so we thought we'd have some fun by taking part in our first ever Virtual Balloon Race just in time for Easter. The Ecoracing Virtual Easter Race starts in Istanbul at 12pm on 4th April 2021 and will last for 7 days and we're excited!!!

How to take part:
1. Click below to buy your virtual balloon. You will be asked to create an account and can choose how many balloons you want. Each balloon costs just £3.
2. Complete your payment. Ecoracing will confirm your purchase via email.
3. Using "my dashboard" you can then personalise your balloon.
4. When the race starts, you can use your dashboard to check your progress and watch your balloon fly! Please note that your balloon will compete with balloons supporting other great causes for the top prizes.

3rd Prize - 10 lucky winners will win a £10 book token

MPS Society Prizes:
Even if you don't win one of the main prizes above, we'll be tracking everyone who is racing for the MPS Society. The top 3 MPS Society balloons will each win a bundle of lovely toys.

The MPS Society provides support for children and families affected by MPS, Fabry and related rare genetic conditions. Mucopolysaccharide (MPS) diseases are a family of rare, life limiting lysosomal storage disorders that can affect both children and adults. Mucopolysaccharides are long chains of sugar molecules used in the building of bones, cartilage, skin, tendons and many other tissues in the body. Usually there is a continuous recycling process of building new mucopolysaccharides and breaking down old ones. For people with MPS diseases there is not enough of a particular enzyme to break down used mucopolysaccharides which means they build up and store in the cells in the body which causes progressive damage.There is no cure for the diseases we support but with each new advancement in treatment, we help to ensure that lives are lived to the fullest.
