St. Michael's Church Bishop's Stortford - Bell Restoration Appeal

We need to raise £300,000 for the restoration of the bells in the tower of St. Michael's Church in Bishop's Stortford.

It is 200 years since the last major work on the bells and they are in urgent need of refurbishment. Seven of the bells will be retuned and the remaining three replaced with new ones. They will then be hung in a cast iron frame, lower in the tower where the walls are thicker and more robust to prevent further cracking in the tower caused by the swing of the heavy bells.
