Wildmoor Heath PTA is a group of parents, carers and teachers who volunteer their time to raise money for the school. The funds raised are used to improve the experience and facilities for all pupils to enjoy, whilst organising events that provide an opportunity for pupils and their families to come together as a community.

During the last 12 months the opportunity to plan and host events have been limited and this has had an impact on our ability to raise money. We want to do all we can to help raise money for our school.

The balloon race is an open race, which means that lots of other organisations will be hosting their own virtual race, so you will be in with a chance to win the grand prize of £500, as a school the first and second place winner from OUR school will also win a prize.

Due to the generosity of Two Sisters Cafe who are sponsoring this event, there will be prizes of:

1st prize - £50 Amazon voucher
2nd prize - Afternoon Tea for 2
3rd prize - Two re-usuable coffee cups with a free coffee voucher

The race sets off from the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem at 12pm on Easter Sunday (4th April), the balloon race is a 7-day computer simulation race where everything is real apart from the balloon - which is fantastic!

The software uses live weather data to determine the progress of each balloon and each entry can be tracked once launched. You can alter your balloon’s parameters at any time to increase your chance of winning, depending on the prevailing weather conditions.

Each virtual balloon costs just £3 and you can give it a name, colour, shape and pattern. You can buy as many balloons as you like to increase your chances of winning – buy one for all the family and compete between yourselves. Please invite as many people to join this race as you can - the more people who take part the more we raise - you can gift them. Its a great way to get a bit of friendly competition going!
